The University of Applied Sciences HTW Chur is an earlier adopter of PRME and has co-founded the regional chapter DACH. Its mission is to turn students into highly qualified, responsible personalities by our closely connected practice-oriented teaching and research. Through our teaching, research, services, and continued education we are sustainably delivering high value to business, institutions, and society.
HTW Chur is a member of PRME Champions, a group of PRME signatory schools group envisioned to provide for a limited number of business schools a platform to unlock the next level of responsible management education and leadership.
Founded in 1963 as a polytechnic institute, in 2000, HTW Chur was accredited as University of Applied Sciences. Currently more than 1,600 students are enrolled in a variety of study programs on bachelor‘s and master‘s levels, involving faculty staff of more than 130.
Its seven research institutes are actively involved in applied research and development dedicated to fostering knowledge and technology transfer for the Swiss economy. Fields of study comprise Tourism & Hospitality, Management, Information Sciences, ICT Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Multimedia.
The Alpine City of Chur is Switzerland’s oldest city and the capital of Grisons, which is the largest canton of Switzerland located at the heart of the Alps. Nestled in the Rhine valley, it is surrounded by its magnificent scenery of mountainous summits and world renowned destinations such as Davos, St. Moritz, Laax, and Arosa. The Grisons inspires numerous discoveries in culture and in the outdoors alongside its charming hospitality.
